Sock Care 101: Keeping Your Feetishh Socks Fresh and Fabulous

While we have done a pretty good job to make the socks last for you, but to keep them good as new so that they look just as pretty as you do and feel as comfortable as the 2 a.m. calls with your bestie feels you will also have to look after them. Your socks need some care too.

Washing: Wash your socks in cold or lukewarm water since hot water can wear out the cotton fibres. Cold water will also help to maintain the elasticity and avert shrinkage. A gentle cycle or a delicate wash will go a long way. Harsh detergents or bleach might weaken the fabric and harm the colours and designs.

Drying: Air dry your socks; it keeps your socks in shape. If a dryer is your only option, then use it on a low temperature setting.

Storing: Don’t jam your drawers with your precious socks, it will lead to crushing (not the kind you do during a chill sesh) which will hamper the shape and size of the socks.

Variety is your friend, keep several options ready so that you can avoid over wear. Also be on a lookout for socks which are thinning, losing their shape or are simply wearing out, when the time comes treat yourself with a fresh pair.
